João Camargo
João Camargo is an animal scientist and environmental engineer, formerly a journalist and teacher of botany and chemistry. He’s been a political activist in precarious workers’ movements, in the struggles against austerity and the troika and currently focuses on climate justice in the Portuguese movement Climáximo. He’s currently finishing his PhD in climate change in the University of Lisbon, about climate change as a new metanarrative for humanity, while evaluating climate and energy public policy in Portugal, Spain and Morocco. He’s published two books in 2018: Climate Change Combat Manual and Portugal in Flames – How to Rescue the Forests.
